Ann Fraistat is an author, playwright, and narrative designer, born and raised in Maryland and recently transplanted to Texas—where she, her husband, and their ever-adorable cats are adjusting to life in cowboy boots. She is a lover of both horror and comedy, and anything to do with monsters and magic. As a two-time Pitch Wars mentee in 2018 and 2019, she is delighted to serve as a critiquer for the new Write Team Mentorship Program. Quicksilver Harvest (Delacorte, Spring 2022) is her debut novel.

Ann has co-authored several plays, including Romeo & Juliet: Choose Your Own Ending, published by Playscripts, Inc., as well as educational alternate reality games sponsored by the National Science Foundation, including The Tessera (an Official Selection of IndieCade Games Festival 2017).

When not engrossed in fictional worlds on her laptop, she has worked on stages in the Washington, D.C.-area as an actor and director. For several years, she co-founded and operated a dog walking business. Other loves include reading, cooking and baking (gluten-free, now that bread has betrayed her), and drinking as much tea as humanly possible.
